Our Cruise Packing List - Flight & Night One at the Hotel
One of the suitcases that is a non-negotiable is my carry-on suitcase.
It will come on the flight with us as a carry on and will hold what we need the first night at the hotel, the clothes for the morning of the cruise, and all of the most important essentials for the cruise cabin.

Setting myself up for Success
You’ll see in the video, I started re-organizing all of the items.
I am going to be bringing this carry-on on the plane, so I wanted to have some of the items super easy to access in an emergency at the airport/on the flight. Things like:
Wrist Handcuffs
Wipes and extra undies/diapers/etc.
So, this is super strategic why I am putting the things that I want to unpack FIRST when we get on the cruise into this suitcase. When we arrive, this is the suitcase I open first and get everything out and put away. With two little ones on my own, it is too much to be unpacking everything searching for the hooks or the organizer or the sound machine. If by the time we get to our room, there is too much fun happening and I only have a few minutes to get the essentials taken care of, I know we’re covered if I unpack this suitcase for now and set myself up for success to unpack the rest after the girls go to bed.
Once we get on the cruise, this one is unpacked FIRST.
Here’s my strategy:
Plug in the power station and charge my phone if it needs it + start recharging dead iPads from the airplane so that I can put those away for the trip home.
Hang up over the door organizer
Hang wet bathing suits
Hang up blackout curtain
Unpack whatever else that I can from this bag and then put the empty suitcase under the bed out of the way.
